I am finally here!

Well it is Tuesday afternoon in Australia, and I have just finished my first day at Montmorency (Monty) South Primary. The children and teachers here are super nice and have been more than welcoming to me. Every student knew I was coming and when anyone sees me they say how or ask how I am doing. There is actually a teacher from here (right across the hall) that is from Chicago and came here to teach during a teacher shortage in the 70's and has just never left. I have been talking with her alot as she wants to know how her city back home is doing.

This weekend is a long weekend for everyone (because of the racing holiday on Tuesday) so I get four days off, so my family is taking me camping and to an Art fesitval in Australia. I am in walking distance of two suburbs of Melbourne, both of which have train stations so I will be able to travel into the city often. The teacher that I am with right now at the Primary school is alos quite young and will hopefully be taking me to enjoy some of Melbourne.

So right now things are going ok. I was a little sick yesterday, but myhost mother thinks maybe it was just nerves or something. Other than that things are good. Please keep me in your prayers and hopefully I will be updating soon!
